Caradon Youth Theatre Open Workshop
Caradon Youth Theatre group will be performing Sister Act the musical next spring. If you want to try out come along to these open workshops for ages 10+

Join artist Keith Sparrow and learn how to draw Manga action figures – part of the Loop the Loop Branching Out project.

Liskeard Prime Stock Show
This popular annual event is a chance for local farmers and growers to show their livestock and produce and for local people to display cookery, flowers and handicrafts. The competitions are open to everyone.
Thursday 26th October
Cattle and sheep judging in the Cattle Market from 9 am to 12 noon.
Other classes are shown at the Eliot House Hotel in Castle Street from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm.
On Friday 27th October, we’ll be having a Halloween fundraising disco at Liskerrett Nursery and Preschool in Varley Lane from 2- 4 pm
There will be food, party games and music so that all your little ghouls and monsters can jive the afternoon away! All children are welcome from the ages of birth to 8 years old. Tickets will be £4.50 (Free for under 12 months) and all money raised will go to supplying our children with new equipment and resources.
Rilla Mill Fireworks and Bonfire
Family prize for the best Guy! Bring your ‘Family Guy’ to the gate before 6.30 pm. Refreshments available including BBQ- chips – Tea- Coffee – Cake. Adults: £4/ Children £1

Saturday 28th October – gates open at 6 pm with the Bonfire at 6.45 pm and Firework Display at 7.30 pm.
This half-term, discover if you’re brave enough to take on Roald Dahl’s most terrible villains, as you encounter themes from five of the best-selling books. It’s a spooktacular special that will delight children and grown-ups alike.
Price: Most activities included within Eden admission ticket. Our fabulous ice rink will also be open during the week. Most activities covered within the entry price

Little Monsters Ball
Get your fancy dress on and join us for an evening of fang-tastic fun for all the family! There’ll be plenty of spooky activities on offer, including a spine-tingling disco, and tasty treats in our cafes and restaurants. The ice rink will also be open and is sure to chill you to the bone…
Advance booking is advised for this event. Tickets £7.50, under 3s free, accompanying adults must also have a ticket

Halloween Freak Week at Cotehele
Steel yourself for freak week in the house, at the mill and in the restaurants. Spooky trails, ghostly goodies, fancy dress and sinister goings-on! You can also meet on the quay for pumpkin carving, broom making and more- a different activity each day. Small charge for materials, normal admission prices apply

23 – 27 October, 11am-3pm Meet us on Cotehele Quay for some spooky, creative Hallowe’en fun. It’s all drop-in so there’s no need to book. At busy times there may be a queue.

Fright Night at Cotehele
Cotehele’s Annual Fright Night – wander around atmospheric Cotehele House in the dark and experience its spooky side. It is essential that everyone in your group brings a torch please. The Barn Restaurant and shop will be open. Normal admission prices apply.

Halloween Maze of Horrors
The Cornish Maize Maze on October 28th between 6.30- 9 pm
Be prepared for the most frightening night of your life!!
The Maze is transformed into a terrifying experience, with live scare experiences!!
Entry tickets are timed, but there is no limit as to how long you can stay up until closing at 9pm
The Monkey Sanctuary Halloween
Take a tour of the monkey enclosures and learn about these fascinating animals from the team of expert carers. It’s not just monkeys though! Kids will love the wild play area where they can learn about the environment around them and let off some steam in the playground.
All week we will have Halloween themed workshops and face painting for the children to enjoy!
Mount Edgcumbe Halloween Hunt
Mount Edgcumbe will hold it’s Halloween Hunt on Sunday 29th October – from 1.45pm
There will be a fancy dress competition for all ages – young and old held at 2pm in front the house, followed by a scary scavenger hunt down through the woods. £2.50 to take part, registration from 12 noon at the Belvedere room in the Barrow Centre. Prizes for the scariest costume
