A week of fun events culminating in the Carnival procession on Saturday evening
Tuesday 27th June – Pavement Artist
The Parade, 5pm (in the Public Hall if wet). An art competition for children. Blackboards and chalks are provided, entry is free and there are prizes for the budding artists.
Tuesday 27th June – Carnival Bingo
Eliot House Hotel, doors open 7pm, eyes down at 8pm. Excellent prizes including fresh hampers plus a raffle.
Wednesday 28th June – Furry Dance
Registration from 5.30pm, the dance leaves from the Cattle Market at 6.30pm. Come and join in the traditional Cornish dance which this year will be centred around The Parade, costumes are not essential but highly desirable. Free entry.
Thursday 29th June – Games Night
Downstairs in the British Legion, doors open at 7pm, start time 7.30pm
Friday 30th June – Quiz Night
Eliot House Hotel, 7pm for 7.30pm start. A fun quiz night for teams of adults. Entry £5 per table of 4.
Saturday 1st July – Carnival Procession
Assemble in the Cattle Market at 5pm, judging at 6pm, procession around the town from 6.30pm. There are classes for floats, walkers, groups and individuals. The event includes bands, Carnival queens and groups of innovative individual floats, outfits and general mayhem!
