Liskeard Old Cornwall Society – Telegraphy in Cornwall

From the first undersea cable being brought ashore at the quiet cove of Porthcurno, to Cornwall becoming home to the busiest communication station in the world, Prof. Gareth Barry will be presenting the fascinating story of “Telegraphy in Cornwall” to the Liskeard OCS at 2.30pm on Friday 14th February in the Emily Hobhouse Room, Public Hall, West Street, Liskeard.

Non-members welcome for a small donation, refreshments included. Meetings are held at 2.30 pm on the 2nd Friday of each month between September and April at the Public Hall plus other events – for a full list see their website
