Trevithick Society- Uranium Mining

The Trevithick Society will be holding a talk about Uranium Mining at Liskeard Public Hall in the Long Room on March 13th at 7.30 pm

In 1889, it was announced that the “only known continuous lode of uranium ore in the world” had been found at the South Terras mine. Trenwith mine also had this ore, where radium was first discoverd by Marie Currie
Dave Naylor will give us a talk on this fascinating subject.
