VE Day celebrations with Liskeard & District Museum
See how Liskeard survived and celebrated the end of the war.
Children’s craft activities & family trail throughout May (free).
1st May – 30th August
New display marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
8th May – 10am
Liskeard Town Crier reads the proclamation followed by the sounding of the siren by Mayor Christina Whitty.
10th May – 10:30–12:30
Special activity day: Make your own Spitfire airplane (drop-in, free).
Come along on our event days dressed in your finest 1940s style clothing & have your photo taken & receive a commemorative certificate!
