The First World War officially ended on the eleventh hour on the eleventh day on the eleventh month, 1918 - Armistice Day. All are welcome to join with the two minute silence at the War Memorial as Liskeard remembers the millions killed, injured and affected by war.

A talk by Angus Holland for the East Cornwall Trevithick Society. All welcome, non-members £2 donation, refreshments available.

'An Introduction to the Geology, History and Operations of the Delabole Slate Quarries' a talk by Levi and George Hamilton for the Liskeard Old Cornwall Society at Liskeard Public Hall.

A young man has been tried and found guilty of cowardice and desertion at the front during World War One, and awaits his death by firing squad. He is visited by the army Chaplain, a Captain who hears about his reasons for joining up and what really happened on the front line.

'Anthems for Doomed Youth' - World War I Commemoration Concert. South West Chamber Choir have a wide-ranging repertoire of small-scale choral music, much of their repertoire is sung unaccompanied. Starting off  with a relatively flat gradient from Millennium House in Pensilva,  the course soon changes and it is most definitely the 25 miles after that, particularly the climb to Foredown between miles 24 and 25, which most people will remember!
