It is expected that over 15,000 visitors will visit Plymouth’s Armed Forces Day located on Plymouth Hoe with spectacular panoramic views out over Plymouth Sound.
See showcase villages from the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, Veterans and Emergency Services which will include interactive equipment, displays and military vehicles.
Many different types of aircraft will feature in our Air Display programme; the Arena displays will include the Royal Navy Field Gun Challenge, Marching Bands and Un-Armed Combat displays. Veterans and Cadets will process along the Hoe Promenade; all veterans are invited to join in our parade.
The Veterans village will host over 50 organisations, charities and historic vehicle displays supporting serving personnel, their families and veterans. There will be a dedicated stage for children and young people to perform on throughout the day and a family play zone.
A free outdoor music concert will follow the daytime activities continuing into the late evening.
