Caradon Monthly Walks – Poley Bridge Circular

August 6, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Meet at 10.00am for a prompt 10.30am start at Poley’s Bridge Camel Trail Car Park (Free) Grid Ref: SX083741 returning to the car park around 3.30pm.

Toilets: There are no toilet facilities at the start or finish of the walk. Toilets are available during our lunch break at the Blisland Inn only. Dogs are welcome, but, due to possible livestock, need to be well controlled.
Refreshments: We will be stopping for a lunch break in Blisland, approximate ¾ of the way around our walk, at approx 1.30pm. Here you have the option of using the local pub, the Blisland Inn, (food ranging from sandwiches to traditional cooked pub grub), or the use of the village green, situated opposite the pub, for picnic lunch. This is a circular walk of moderate difficulty, of about 5 miles. It is an unspoiled and tranquil area with some stunning views . We will be passing some industrial heritage and historical features and the area is noted for its flora and fauna. There are some gradual climbs and descents throughout the walk, and it includes several challenging stiles with steps. As always, it could be muddy and wet in places depending on the weather conditions so wear appropriate footwear.
