Dvorak – Piano Quintet in A
Haydn’s magical string quartet in C major, 250 years old but still startling to modern ears, opens with an exuberant flourish and ends with an intimate whisper. Ravel’s quartet is one of the best-loved pieces in the repertoire, as is Dvorak’s joyous piano quintet, full of folk melodies, which we are delighted to play with celebrated pianist Danny Driver.
Join us at the Old School for a drink after the concert, to celebrate the opening of the Dante Festival.
