Indoor meeting of Caradon Amateur Geology Group,Liskeard: Going for Gold

Going for Gold!

 

Gold is one of the most unusal commodities mined today. This talk will look at all the aspects of how we win Gold from the ground; how and where it forms, how it is discovered, how to start a gold mine and is it all about to go wrong for the worlds gold mines? As a special treat I will also be bringing specimens of gold for people to have a look at!

 Caradon Amateur Geology Group is open to all who are interested in geology and earth sciences with a particular reference to Cornwall and the South West.

Talks are held in the Long Room in Liskeard Public Hall on the third Friday of the month at 7.30pm. Guests and new members welcome – £3 including refreshments. For more info ring 01579 344631
