Intertidal Identification for Beginners

March 14, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

| Free

If you’d like to help at our ever-popular school holiday rockpooling events, brush up on your skills, or find out more about marine wildlife so you can help record what’s out there, this free event is for you. Our resident rockpooling expert and Cornish Rock Pools wildlife blogger, Heather Buttivant, will introduce you to the habitats and species found at Hannafore beach. You’ll learn how to tell species apart and discover lots of amazing facts to share with attendees at our events. This is our free training session on rockpool wildlife for anyone interested in helping with our work. The training will be suitable for any level, but is aimed at beginners and those wanting a refresher.

This is a practical session so please ensure you’re wearing suitable clothing and footwear (ideally wellies and no flip flops). Bring a bucket or small tub. Hand lenses useful if you have one. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. For any more information, please contact [email protected].

Meet below the coastguard station at Hannafore.  This is a FREE event, but donations to Looe Marine Conservation Group are welcome.
