Cornwall based indie duo, Our Atlantic Roots (Mac and Laura Johnston) bring an uplifting blend of American & British alt-folk, with harmonies that are rich, dynamic and unite beautifully. Their sound isn’t something you could squeeze into one genre ‘box’; certain songs have a clear connection with the country/bluegrass sound, whereas others are delicately stripped back; acoustic alt-folk style tracks.
Recent media appearances (2020) include singing live on both BBC Radio Devon and Cornwall & local BBC News in the South West (UK), as well as a feature on BBC Songs of Praise. The duo perform live regularly across the south west and beyond, keep an eye on their social media pages for updates on upcoming events. Highlights from their 2021 tour dates included playing at Cornwall Folk Festival, Creation Fest and Between the Trees Festival in Wales.
They’ll be bringing their unique brand of harmonized folk to Liskeard on October 22nd! There will also be a fantastic local support act joining (to be announced soon!)
