Monday 27th June at 7.30pm at Upton Cross Hall. Brian Oldham will present an expansion of his talk, ‘Memories and Sketches of a 20th Century Caradon Miner’ to include even more memories of the area

Monday 27th June at 2pm at Station Car Park, Minions. Dr Colin French will lead another of his popular Botanic Walks. ‘The wild flowers of Minions and its mining landscape.’ No dogs on this walk.
Tuesday 28th June at 11am in The Hurlers Car Park, Minions. Brian Oldham of Liskeard’s Walkers are Welcome will lead a 6.5 mile circular walk. Bring a snack or stock up in the local shop as it could last around 4 hours. A shorter route of 4 miles will also be available. The full route will take in all 10 magnificent Boundary Stones and 2 Boundary Rocks that mark the unenclosed sector of the ancient Duchy Manor of Rillaton, carved from granite in 1846 all within our very own World Heritage site. footwear and clothing suitable for moorland walking is essential. Sorry no dogs on this walk.
Thursday 30th June at 7.30pm in the Long Room, Liskeard Public Hall. ‘Caradon Mines and Miners’ with Iain Rowe looks at the long history of mining on and around Caradon Hill and the impact the C19th Copper Bonanza had on Liskeard and the settlements closest to the mines.
Friday 1st July at 7.30pm outside Liskeard Museum, Pike Street. Geology walk around Liskeard. Tea and biscuits will be served in the museum on your return with a special chance to look at the exhibition
