The Arts Society Liskeard present a talk on The Age of Jazz by Sandy Burnett on Tuesday 12 May.
Musicologist, ex-radio 3 presenter, jazz double-bassist, Sandy is the ideal guide to the story of jazz, from the blues and ragtime to Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and the dawn of the swing era. Come and get your feet tapping to end the season!
At the Public Hall, West Street, Liskeard, PL14 6BW. Meet at 7pm for coffee/tea/wine and conversation. The talk starts at 7.30pm and ends at about 9pm. FREE for members; for visitors/guests, £6 at the door.
