The Remarkable Daniel Gumb will be held at St Martin’s Church Hall on Dec 1st at 8pm
This lecture by Brian Oldham, takes a look at what history has recorded of the mathematician, stonemason and astronomer who made a home for himself and his family below the iconic Cheesewring on Bodmin Moor. Seldom mentioned are the Estate Plans he prepared for members of the local gentry. This talk includes slides showing those original plans and comparing them to how the locations appear today.
