Yarns Project at Liskeard Museum

Help Liskeard and District Museum create their upcoming major exhibition (opening January 2024).We warmly invite you to take part in our new project ‘Yarns’, and share with us a story of your most treasured piece of clothing.
What is it that first came to your mind, when reading this?
Was it… your Nana’s shawl? Or your wedding cravat?
Or maybe a size 12-18 months little blue fleece, with trucks on it…
Drop in to our museum’s office anytime between 10am-1pm on the following Saturdays, and bring your garment with you:
October 7th, 21st, 28th
November 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
With your permission, we will take a photo of the clothing, and record your voice, telling its story.
We cannot wait to hear your ‘yarns’.
