A Story of Cornwall

A Story of Cornwall is a new work by Cornish Bard Nick Hart, written especially for his much-acclaimed choir Canoryon Lowen and the renowned folk group Dalla – a merging of contemporary choral singing with innovative folk music forged from the county’s great traditions

The piece includes foot-tapping folk tunes, stirring anthems and whimsical songs of mermaids and monsters, the latter featuring choirs of Cornish children.

This illustrated historical journey takes us from stones and saints to rebellion and the thudding sound of mine industry, of loss and longing and a vibrant sense of a new Cornwall emerging from the wastelands of the past.

The evening will climax with everyone invited to engage in Cornish dancing in the classic setting of Carnglaze Caverns.
