Fascination For Furniture?

Casual visitors to Mount Edgcumbe are able to learn about the House’s contents by means of a self-guided tour, yet there is much more detail available about the 17th, 18th and 19th century furniture and furnishings that are contained therein. This hour-long presentation will describe a number of prime pieces of furniture and decorative arts in the collection. A furniture historian will open doors and drawers for a closer look at the traditional construction methods and materials and provide greater insight into items that were treasured by the Edgcumbe family.
