As part of the Liskeard Unlocked Heritage weekend The Making Space for Nature project and Cornwall Housing engagement officers will be near the scout hut at Castle Park between on Saturday 12th September between 12pm – 4pm.

Helen and Melissa will have a stand displaying proposals for wildlife improvements to the park, and would like to hear your views on these and wider thoughts about the park. Emma from Cornwall Housing Engagement team will be supporting the event and able to chat to about becoming an estate monitor and the Liskeard Together project.

For those with an interest in photography, there will be the opportunity to get to grips with some macro nature photography using your smartphone or digital camera, and a professional photographer will be on hand at Castle Park to help you get some great nature shots between 12pm – 4pm! It’s a great opportunity to learn something new for free. You might want to bring something to kneel on!

Between 12pm and 2pm, Nic from Miss Elvy’s Curious School of the Wild will run some exciting outdoor forest school activities in the park for children, and there will be a family orientated self-service nature trail, hunt and gather activity. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

These will all be socially distanced activities, basic refreshments will be available and please do dress appropriately for the weather.

It’s all FREE so do please come along, we look forward to meeting you.
